What is the DAHDI DIDs Module used for?

Analogue Channel DIDs allow you to assign a DID or Phone Number to specific analogue Channels. Unlike SIP or PRI trunks, Analogue Lines do not send a DID or dialled number to the PBX. Since the PBX routes all inbound calls based on the DID or number dialled, we need to map each analogue port or channel to a fake number so we can match that number to an Inbound Route number and route your calls. Each channel can be mapped to the same phone number if you want all calls on the analogue lines going to the same destination.

How is the  DAHDI DIDs Module related to the other Modules?

This module allows you to map a Analogue DAHDI channel within inbound routes by a given number. If using the DAHDI Config module you would set the context to from-analog for the channels used here.

How Do I Get to the DAHDI DIDs Module?

  • Log in to the FreePBX UI.
  • On the top menu click Connectivity
  • In the drop down click DAHDI channel DIDs
