Zulu needs permission from windows in order to access audio devices. If permission is not granted calls will drop instantly because no recording device is detected. One way to tell that this is happening is to go to Settings → Call Settings and check what devices are selected for Input / Output, if no devices are listed this is likely the issue.

In order to allow Zulu to access devices you need to allow Desktop Apps to access your microphone from microphone privacy settings as shown in the following screenshot:
