What is the Call Waiting module used for?
Call waiting gives users the option to put their current call on hold and pick up a new incoming call on the same line.
The Call Waiting module provides the ability to turn call waiting on or off.
Although a "Call Waiting" module shows up in the "Applications" section of Module Admin, there is no "Call Waiting" module under the GUI menus. Settings are managed in other modules.
How is the Call Waiting module related to the other modules?
Call waiting is enabled/disabled per extension and can be set via the Extensions module. Call waiting feature codes can be managed through the Feature Codes module. Global settings can be managed through the Advanced Settings module.
How Do I Get to the Call Waiting Module?
The Call Waiting module is installed by default, and can be uninstalled or reinstalled by browsing to Module Admin. There is no "Call Waiting" entry in the GUI menus. Instead, call waiting is managed through the Feature Codes module, Extensions module, and Advanced Settings. Users can dial feature codes to change settings.
